I'm from Mass so when I saw this mixtape I figured I had to check it out. I've never heard of Five Star before but I really hoped he'd be good since hes representing my state. Unfortunately Mass Five Star sounds like he belongs in G-Unit. His flow is good but he never changes it up and it gets old quickly. He's clearly a good rapper but he raps about stereotypical gangster shit. That isn't a problem if you know how to make a single but I couldn't find one on the tape. Only song I could see myself bumping is Mass That's Where I'm From, and that's because its where
I'm from. He's jacking for beats but he doesn't give me any reason to associate those beats with him. If you're into lyrics with no substance, half-decent choruses, and beats you've heard before, you'll like this. I don't plan on listening to it again.

I;d also say the original east side story on youtube is better than the remix on the mixtape.
And no bullshit man is talking about street life and the life he lives. I'll tell u know the shit he raps about is his veryday life not no fake wanna be fake shit. If you don't like gangsta rap thats ur choice. But remember most of the club commercial songs are necessary for funding under labels. Myself I'd like to see the game go back to shit like this a fucking classic.
