Finale is a Detroit underground rapper who falls into the smooth hip-hop category. He is very lyrical and has a unique flow which makes everything he says sound like a tongue-twister. His debut album has already gained unanimous hip-hop critical acclaim, and I agree it is well deserved. His subject matter is covers the struggle of himself as a musician on the come-up. He also reveals some of the hardships facing the local economy in Detroit with the recent collapse of the Big 3 automakers. In other words he is very relatable to the average American. This album is full of amazing lyrics and pristine production from the late great J. Dilla. The only downside to this album is that some listeners may find that Finale’s flow to sound the same on every song. This happened to me on the first listen. I would recommend listening to this album a few times before you make your judgment. Nonetheless, this was a great album from an up-and-coming Detroit emcee, 4/5.

I can't F"N STAND THE EQ on this CD!! 4 real tho.....it's so hard to understand this guy with any bass thru the speakers....I wish it wasn't like that but I kind of think that was the intent on the engineer's side of things, to give the album a more raw feel but it sounds so off
