If you've heard one TI album you've pretty much heard em all. If you're a fan you probably can't be helped. I listened through this tape once and could not find a reason to return to it. A couple of stand out tracks are Still Ain't Forgave Myself, Don't Forget Me ft Mary J. Blige (All Blige), and I Do ft Young Dro & T.I. (Big Kuntry > T.I).

Saigon and DJ Statik Selektah - All In A Day's Work (Mixtape Review)

This new mixtape from Saigon is definitely worth a listen for Saigon fans. Although, I am generally not a fan, I am posting it because many others are. He, also, shows off all the characteristics we look for in an artist: lyrics, charisma, and quality beats. I just do not generally enjoy his music. Hooking up with Statik Selektah was a good move for Saigon. However, to me, this tape just did not turn out right. I think many Saigon fans would agree with me. The only real standout track was The Reason. All In a Days Work displays the quality and effort that Saigon might put in over a period of one day. Hearing anything of real value in a mixtape full of tracks made in one day would be very ambitious. There is usually a tradeoff between quality and quantity. Still, I will have high expectations for The Greatest Story Never Told, but this mixtape will probably leave Saigon fans looking more substance. I give it a 3/5; average.

DJ Scream And DJ Smallz Present Young Buck - Back On My Buck Sh*t (Mixtape Review)

After the world heard him cry it was obvious that Young Buck needed to get back on his Buck shit. And like one of my favorite songs on this mixtape, Buck, Just Done It. This is everything a mixtape is supposed to be. The production is album worthy, the beats are fresh, and Buck is at his best. He has always been consistent and this mixtape is representative of that. There isn't a single song (other than the interludes) that I felt the need to skip, on multiple play throughs. His lyrics won't make you think but he does fill you in on the G-Unit beef and where he stands now. The change in production works to Buck's benefit. His albums were a little over the top, but the mixtape is just right. I will definitely be bumping this.

DJ Klapton & Ransom - Behind The Scenes (Mixtape Review)

Ransom is the epitome of an east coast rapper. His delivery and style has remained consistent and strong all throughout his many years as a mixtape rapper. The lyrics are usually hard and full of Jersey swag. This mixtape features mostly older tracks, with the exception of the first eight. I posted this to get some of you who may not be familiar with him a chance to see if you like his music. I didn’t think much of him at first until I heard Pain and Glory 2 which came out last year. However, once I was turned on to him it was hard to let go. There are very few mixtape rappers that have an entire discography of music that can be replayed over and over without skipping a majority of the songs; ransom is one of those. He has shared the mic with many hardcore underground heavyweights such as Stack Bundles and St. laz. Most of this tape is filled will good tracks, give or take a few. Overall, I give it 3.5/5 due to the lack of standout tracks.

DJ Folk And Young Jeezy - Trappin Aint Dead (Mixtape Review)

This mixtape was decent at best. It remains a mystery as to why Jeezy consistently has lower than average audio quality on his tapes. Other than the clear album cuts nothing special here. Jeezy is consistent in his style and that may be reassuring for most fans, but not me. He usually doesn’t disappoint on the albums (aside from the recession), but leaves fans wanting more quality over quantity in his mixtapes. Like I said, stand out tracks are the album cuts like Air Forces 2, Might Just Blow That and I’m Goin In. This mixtape has nothing new to offer. However, I think the new album will not disappoint. However this mixtape deserves its mediocre rating of 3/5.

Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana - My Face Cant Be Felt (Mixtape Review)

Wayne is pretty good at dumbing down hip-hop and has done an excellent job dumbing down Juelz flow. It's clear that Santana is trying to mimic Wayne's lyrical inability and he does a pretty good job of that. If you try to listen to this mixtape you won’t find any substance. What you will find is high production values, decent beats, and good chemistry. The songs featuring both Wayne and Juelz are definitely worth a listen. However once you get past track 10 I suggest you either listen to something else or go back to the first track.
